theCHIVE (Resignation Media) is seeking to expand its engineering team in Austin. We are looking for a LAMP software engineer to help with the development of both our internal and external projects. You must strive to deliver excellent user experience, anticipate future requirements and deliver on an aggressive schedule.
Job Description:
- Work on new projects and websites (e.g. Resignation Brewery)
- Maintain existing WordPress websites (e.g. Resignation Media)
- Help us maintain, rewrite, and write new internal tools and website (e.g. Analytics, curating tools…)
- Maintain and improve the integration with current 3rd parties (e.g. Sialthru, Sendgrid, Accounting…)
- Help us integrate future 3rd party networks (ERP, CRM, various marketing tools…)
Requirements:
- Preferred MS or BS in Computer Science
- 2+ years of in depth development experience with LAMP stack
- Experience working with WordPress is a must
- Experience with the following is a huge plus: WordPress VIP, Nginx, Memcached, Redis, Sphinx, Magento Enterprise
- Experience with version control systems (svn, git, etc.)
- Must have a strong sense for quality user experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Excellent presentation and communications skills
- Ability to work in an agile / SCRUM team environment (JIRA experience is a plus)
- Must be reliable, flexible and punctual
Compensation and benefits:
- Pay is salary based on experience
